LOST SOULS


I climbed up the mountain
All covered in snow
I looked out into the distance
Cities crawling outward
So many people
Lost souls
Dreaming of the future
Forgetting today
I reach out to them
Sending light
Wanting to touch everyone
If they only could see as I do
I yell across the world
Trying to tell them
Peace is all around
Just sit on the grass
Feel what you hold
Deep inside
The gift we are given
The wind blows on my face
Some are listening
Joy overwhelms me
So much to live for
To share every moment
A smile
I see people
Finding themselves on love
With one another
A child looking up at me
Fills my heart
Today is my dream of tomorrow
