I reached up
You were gone
I saw a star last night
I thought you might have seen it
The moment you entered my life
I saw the milky way
Now just the lone star

There was a mountain we climbed
Now it has turned to dust
The rains have wore it away
Our home is withered
Life has no meaning
I walk in the forest lost

They say there will be another
But they didn't know you
I didn't know you
But now I see you
And understand your path was not with me
I find no solace in that knowledge

This moment I feel the emptiness
Of the Universe
The pain I know doesn't pass
It stays with me
I go on wondering through the trees
Searching for another

One who can understand me
As I thought you did
Maybe you were a dream
And I saw you as a Princess
I a Knight
To save you from the darkness

Now the dark consumes me
My heart is gone
Despair is my friend
The night comes
The cold is welcome
I have nothing left
But the loneliness is mine
