REACHING FOR THE MORNING

      Deeper into the unknown
      Trying to keep his balance
The darkness creeps into his mind
      The climb is steep

All the years that have passed him by
      The dreams fallen into dispair
      Which way to turn
      The end is near

      He talks to friends
      Do they listen
      Can they understand
The lessons of time, dont give direction

He stretches, reaching for the morning
      Will light provide a way
      From the loneliness
People all around, yet no one knows

      Sleep, too much sleep
      With nightmares of torment
      Still he is here
Someone will help him find peace

Angels in the form of friends
      Will guide him
Take him back to the dawn
The sun will shine on his back again
