PAUSE


I have found darkness
In the sky
I have seen the worst
That man can do

Then to this day
When the sun
Shines so bright
I know the greatness of the heart

I have seen a mother
With a child
Holding with gentle
Sweetness of love

A father yells at his son
And the child is so frightened
Suddenly a pause
And the son is in the father�s arms

There is much pain
In this world
With each step we take
Can give or remove it

We have choices to make
Some will be wise
Others foolish
And with out thought

Is it wise
To with hold our love
With so many in need
But the fear that we feel

Not wanting to be hurt
Wondering who to trust
If you stop every time to think
Will you ever truly love again
