A GRAIN OF SAND

      I always wanted to fly
Into a nebula red and gaseous
To see the birth of new stars
      The universe in its beginnings

Still the night sky holds my
      Imagination
      The stories of my youth
      Ring true for the future

This is the time to be alive
      Everyday is learning
      New discoveries
Old questions enter into new questions

      A never ending cycle
      Man is at the doorstep
      To what is open
To all the dreams we have

      Nothing seems impossible
From a man on the Moon
      To finding new planets
      Then understanding self

      The oldest question of all
      Who are we
      We are all that is
      And a grain of sand

      The sun rises and sets
      The mountains rise higher
And the rain washes them away
      Rivers twist and flow

      Nothing remains the same
      A song on the radio
Means brings on one memory today
      And another tomorrow

      Technology changes the world
      Our views are not stagnant
      We are in flux
We age and are reborn each morning
