ABSTRACT

The sun full in the sky
      Obstructed by clouds
      Still its warmth is felt
      Wind blowing from the north

      She sits in silent contemplation
      What might have been
The sorrow of the past fading
      Now is here

She lives, a moment in time
      A singularity of the present
      He comes to her
      A flower in hand

      The look of why
      Have you come in bitterness
      Harmful words and thoughts
She dismisses him with a wave

      The rocks beneath her
      Hard and unforgiving
      Her heart solid in resolve
      Never again

      Are there angels about her
      Why do they not speak
      Alone in this place
      She has found peace within

Not to judge but to be obtuse
      In thought and mind
To love where love is returned
Then maybe to love without question
