COMING OF AGE


The end is coming

I feel it close

Like a burning in my heart

What will be next

I have heard many stories

I have known the beliefs of different peoples

Which will be real

Is there a choice

Does it matter who is right

I will find whatever when I get there

Or not

Nothingness is still possible

To return to the Earth

As before

I am not asking for another chance

But I want to grow

I want to see the future

What we will become

Does mankind fade back into the stars

Or make the stars his own

Do not leave me behind

I will not hang on to what was

Yet I want the new adventures

The dreams that have not come
