ALL THAT MAY BE

      Evergreens stretching the imagination
      Far into the valley below
What secrets lie in the mists
That cover dreams distant and near

To seek moments of thought and reflection
      Creatures darting in and out
Not visible even in the light of day
      Touch not the real

The landscape of the mind intangible
      Like water flowing with time
A piece of fruit delicate in taste
Fleeting as the memory of sustenance

All senses alive in a single breath
The air and sky mingling in the body
      To make it whole
Questions of love and fulfilling destiny

      Looking forward forgetting the past
Leaving pain in search of mythic truth
      Wonder at all that is
Then breathe in all that may be
