ALONE ONLY IN THOUGHT

      Questions asked, discerning a future
      In the present life
The answers coming slowing with examination
One by another pieces finding a way to build

In your mind through a jumbled confusion
      There is light
The tunnel expands into the world
A hint of a smile in recognition

Fingers reaching out to touch and be held
Just as thoughts want to be understood
      Someone is listening without judgment
      Returning experience and caring words

When you think you are alone
Look to yourself the mirror holds the truth
Then to the ones around you
Who take you into their hearts

None of us can be alone
      Stop the stranger or friend
See their eyes open with wonder
      While you speak
