Michael was born September 3, 1958 in San Francisco, California. In 1974, at the age of 16 years old, he began writing poetry. Through the years, he developed this gift, and continues to share his writings with us from his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Recently, Michael was asked, "What inspires you to write poetry?" His answer was, "I have to write, it is a passion, a compulsion of which I have little control."
