BAREFOOT

      Rocks filled the hill

      The dress she wore

      Rippled with the wind

Her feet bare on the earth

As she wished for her prince to come

A fantasy she played while skipping along

      Through grassy fields

A childs dream to which she held

      Smiling and singing

      Such joy she maintained

Knowing it would never leave her

      Was she old or young

      It didnt matter to her

      She loved and lived

The choice to be happy was hers alone

      Dancing barefoot through life
