BODY OF LIFE

White form collecting on the sand
The sun reflecting on green waters
In the distance swells rising high
      Then whispering to the beach

Two feet in the water as sand
Rushes back out to the ocean
      Sinking lightly into the earth
      Cold water felling my heart

      A few steps forward
      Knees feeling the icy warmth
      Then running further out
And a dive head first into the swelling waters

The taste of salt comes with a smile
      Rising above the foam
      Back again into the deep
      Kelp brushing against my body

Life of the sea all around
      Back to the beginnings
To the inner self, resolved to live
      The mind racing in delight

      Turing back to shore
      Riding smooth waves
      Floating in hands so graceful
      Peace finally peace
