The morning air has a chill
Hot coffee steaming into the gentle breeze
Conversation light with laughter
A car passing now and then

The sun rising slowly
As it makes the snow illuminate in many colors
Voices of people on the sidewalk
Nights turning off with daylight

Your eyes draw me in
Taking me on a ride into your soul
The expression of your smile
Tells of your warmth

I remain lost in your eyes
Never wanting to leave
A place I have not been before
Reaching inside me

As I travel through your thoughts
Looking at the roads you have walked
Listening to the depths of you being
Connecting from moment to moment

Just as the dance the night before
The music plays in our hearts
Swaying and holding
Time forgotten

Here I will stay
Lost in you
Always with you
In the dance of your eyes and soul
