ACQUIRED FLUX

      Dust gathering under foot

As I wait in the heat of night

      The moon full, watchful

      Left alone again to wonder

      What will tomorrow bring

      More mysteries without solutions

Puzzles once known now turned upside down

Trying to run while lying on the ground

Slowly becoming part of the earth

      While confusion begins to fade

Understanding the world as it passes by

Old love growing with time, maturing with compassion

The dust moving from my body

As the wind caresses memories into life

Fear like storms dissipating without a sound

Riddles taking form in the heart

With each touch of the mind

A soft stroke of thought creating wisdom

Eyes losing vision and gaining insight

      In age regaining youth

      Seeing truth through veiled shadows

Rebirth of innocence with the loss of corruption

Changes acquired with a flux of energy

Stigmas removed with the grace of those choosing to understand
