FORGIVING

A place not far from the heart
Walking south in the world of dreams
Wondering if love can be found
      On a continent so distant

      When time becomes irrelevant
      Then perhaps fears will vanish
Listen to a song and memories
      New and old occur

      Touched by anothers complex love
Still searching for what might have been
      Instead of what will be
      Just hold on tight

      What more can be asked
Then to give and receive hope
A moment extending into a lifetime
A misspoken word with all desire to be taken back

How to change a past once it is mute
Time like a forge is unforgiving
Love can be malleable if allowed
Forgive the failings and look inside the heart
