HAZEL EYES


Today I met a lady
She has a look of curiosity
I tried to touch her
But she was translucent
I thought I could make her mine
I saw time in her eyes

A moment passes in silence
I wonder if she is of this world
Such beauty without age
Does she believe as I
Is her Universe one of thought and peace
So many questions

Will she tell me her secrets
Share her dreams
I want to dream with her
Walk in the mountains
Swim by a waterfall
Lay in the sun knowing she is near

How do I approach her
I know we are destined
To be together
Separate but one
I have known her always
This lady I met today
