PARADOX

      Into the water
      Not very deep
      Bare feet and pant legs
      Pulled up below the knee

      The water like ice
      Flows with gurgling sounds
      Birds sing in the trees
      Above the mountains reign high

      A slither of motion
      The stream begins to turn
Falling back on to a rock
      With a hard thud

      Stillness fills the air
Calm warning of what is to come
The city below moves in odd ways
      Building start to sway

The streets bellow and then collapse
Cracks in the earth like broken hearts
      The stream turns to mud
Carrying the soul down the hillside

In just moments silence once again
The world, a small part has changed
      The drama is over
      With slight reminders to come
