There was time once

To play and dance

The trees grew tall

And the mountains stood high

Where are you now

Have you settled

Found love in someone else

What adventures have you lived

A friend long ago

Just a distant memory

Sometimes forgotten

Others have come and left

Motionless in mind

You stay with me

Returning occasionally

But only in my imagination

Never knowing where you are

I feel you in my heart

Not wanting to let go

It was childhood when we met

That day I met you

At the rope swing

The tall tree over looking bay

And the scary first kiss

Going back to simpler times

Taking with us each other

For all time you will be mine

And I will be yours
