SARAH

      I have wondered
What would I do if I saw you again
      Would I drop everything
      And run to you

All my dreams spent thinking of you
      Now the passing of time
      Friends have come and left
But I still have the memory of you

Your eyes brown as the earth
      The years have changed you
What would I do if I saw you again
Would I recognize you in the moonlight

      We were very young then
And all the world seemed open to us
      Id sit on a log
      And remember your touch

If I passed you on the street
      Would you say hello
What would I do if I saw you again
Would we smile, not knowing each other

Trees have grown tall and strong
      Since last we met
20 years have taken their toll
I am not as I was then

      Then who is to say
I will never forget your smile and eyes
What would I do if I saw you again
I hope we would hug and laugh at the world
