SOMEDAY

Rose petals laying on the ground

Fallen from a love long ago

      The red turning brown

      Innocence long forgotten

      Brown eyes still sparkling

      Dreams of soft skin held

      In welcoming arms

      Everything new

      Is it the exploration missed

      Or something simpler

      I have grown older

      But you are always remembered

      The smile that never leaves

      Words of youth

      Imagining the future

      Tomorrow keeps coming without end

      Your long hair flowing

      Through loving fingers

      Summers and the ocean

      Rain in the winter

We see them come and leave

      To hold your hand

      One more time

Someday I will know you again
