TODAY WE WALKED WELL TOGETHER


The Sun rose in silence
The air crisp with our breath
Others shuffled about lost in the moment
Streaming thoughts of tomorrow

Our hands parted with the warmth of the day
Not a cloud to be seen against blue skies
Just a wisp of wind in your hair
I watched your eyes, as you left

My thoughts never leaving you
Our paths had separated through the day
From time to time, I could see your reflection
Solidify in my memory

I felt your thoughts lingering on me
Knew that you were touching me
Although there was distance between us
We walked on different sides of the same path

At the end of the day our eyes met
Our hands fell into each other�s grasp
Stories of the day were shared, one thought remained
Together we walked well today
