VANISHING HEAVEN

The sky turns dark as she leaves
The door closing with a click
      Suddenly alone, another night
      City lights near and far

      Still silence reaches deep inside
      Tearing at the heart
Watching the window waiting for the morning sun
      The clock moving more slowly

      She appears as a phantom
      A shadow of reality
      Spirit in flux between dimensions
Is it time to go, but she has not returned

Her face stays in my memory
I will not leave without a goodbye
The spirit smiles at my realization of love
There will be time for us
