WALK AMONGST THE STARS


Hope in the night
Stars look down on the Earth
Holding in eyes distant
The wonders there to be held

Legends and myths of futures
Not realized except in the mind
Dreams or memories of searching and belonging
To a Universe greater than is known today

Where have they gone
Still breathing in hearts
Buried deep within us
Listen as they whisper in the silence of the night

Were they us
Will we become them
Travelers, explorers of the depths of starlight
Emptiness awaits, giving knowledge as its reward

Time and space changing
Reshaping into higher dimensions
A manifold of thought
Transformed by reflection and shadow

Made of the dust of stars
We will walk amongst the stars
First in ships of dreams
Then ships powered by the imagination
