WILD SLUMBER

      Turbulent dreams into the night
      Tossing with waves green, blue
      And white foam
A ship torn apart by rapture of thought

Wading in waters wondering will light ever come
A piece of wood to hold on to
Life not lost but still in silence
The body motionless except the throbbing ocean

      Once a peaceful place
      The mind asleep comes alive
      Turmoil in essence
To wake and find the pillow beneath

      Is it to be so
Will this all fade into distant memory
      Yet drowning seems more likely
Wild slumber into the unknown reaches of existence
