A WINTER DAY


As we played on that winder day
The clouds covered the sky
We laughed with never mind
Throwing snow and dancing with delight

I held your hand as we walked
Looking over to see you still there
Smiling and receiving a smile back
Such joy I have found this winter day

Mountains and ocean
All in a dream of our memories
Taking steps slowly
To make our time together last

Arm and arm holding tight
Now that the night has come
Clouds disappearing as the stars come out
Will you ever leave

Not so long as I remember this day
A kiss to share softly we touch
I caress your hair and feel light silk
Brush your cheek to know your heart

Could heaven be better than this
I wonder what the morning will bring
For now I have you
I ask for nothing more
