I held you that night

Waited for the Angels to come

The time we had seemed

Not enough, like twilight in winter

I could feel your hold grow weak

As you faded from me

I know we will be together again

How will I survive the passing time in between

Your eyes turn cloudy

I wonder after your thoughts

Now in you leaving

Of when we were young

Playing the grassy hills
